Farming in Norway

So I recently got back from working on a farm in northern Norway for two and a half weeks...IT WAS AWESOME.

A friend from high school and I found the farm through this program called WWOOF, where you can live on organic farms and work all around the world. I honestly can't remember why we chose Norway of all places, but it was totally the right call because it's amazingly beautiful.

 We got to do some hiking on the island we were staying on, and saw the most incredible views:

MORE MOUNTAINS ------->

OH AND DID I MENTION there was 24 hours of daylight. Because it's above the Arctic circle. Weirdest experience ever going to bed at "night."

<---------This picture was taken at 2-3 am

Our host was great and took us to see the midnight sun one night. We watched the sun travel to the lowest point and then start to rise again while eating waffles on the top of a mountain.

We did a lot of different work including cutting down trees (das right), digging a ditch next to a swamp (mmmmm lovely), making a hay fence, and repairing a 1500 year old stone fence thingie. And petting the lambs.

they are seriously everywhere

I hope everyone else is having an awesome adventuresome summer!!!  Can't wait to see you all again in the fall :)

Love,

Sofie
