Coxing! and brownies...

So now that the morning collegiate rowers have broken down into fours- I'm most likely going to be coxing for the next few weeks. It's nothing like the charles in terms of steering and everything (yeah, Man Yan, I totally forgot how much I admire your abilities until recently)- except after a big storm. Then it's a freakin' war zone. I got attacked by a 2 by 4 the other day. I won.

Coxing= bad driving as well. I proceded to hit a tree (lightly, no damage whatsoever) on my way out of the boathouse.

In other news, this is translating into me having to do workouts after work (in the worst heat of the day). If we had weigh ins- I don't even think I'd have to fast before some of them- I sweat so much (yes, Clare, sweat!) some of these days. I was biking for a while.. then I busted tires on 2 different bikes. So, whatever. I'll run this week (I got new running shoes and they aren't black, red, or pink. they're blue. I'm really upset. but the guy in the store thought i was insane for having more of a preference on color than on fit/how it made me run). Oh, and I got new spandex! They have pink at the bottom. Oh so excited to wear them next season.

Erick is visiting this weekend- and I'm hoping I can take out a double with him. It'll be pretty funny. I haven't sculled yet this summer(and technically I'm not supposed to .. much). but i doubt whatever sort of piece we'll end up doing will cause permanant damage to my wrists/hands at all.

As far as rafting adventures go.. I have not had any. I do however, have some adventures in the 'hood' to share when I get back. I work in like the worst neighborhood... in all of Indianapolis. Almost as exciting as rafting.... almost.

For some reason- during the summer- my mom told me she never wants to be out of desserts because we always have company. this is translating into an excess of brownies around the house. So dangerous. Rollo brownies? Ah-may-zing.

Anyways. I should definitely be working right now. Hope everyone is having a great summer! I love reading the blog when I'm particularly sleepy at work. :D
Maybe I'll post a picture of my desk one day... or my imitations of Man Yan in my nice blue headband/mic and scrunching into the coxswains seat. Who knows!
