Hi! I just wanted to upload a picture of me and my pair partner (I'm the one in bow). My partner's name is Keara...we're racing this weekend in rowontario championships. I'm pretty excited :)
I wish I had a picture of my mixed doubles partner....We are going to TRY to row together for a few practices as a joke seeing as he is 6'7" and I'm about 5'5". It should be interesting, but I'll keep you guys posted

Note in picture: we no longer have those pretty Hudson wing riggers b/c they snapped in the accident I wrote about in my last post :(

PS. Does anyone live in Simmons? Freshmen housing came out today and I'm in 925. However, I think I'm going to enter the readjustment lottery for Baker, which was my first choice.... it's a lot closer to campus/the boathouse and something tells me that coming from Florida and having to walk across campus everyday during the fall/winter is not going to be fun. Does anyone have any advice with housing??

  1. Simmons is good, but as you said, far. Baker and Burton Conner are good. I have beef with Next House. But you'll have lots of time to figure it out at orientation!

  2. I love Burton Conner... just because it's such a variety. But I have tons of friends who are super happy in Baker as well- it depends on the environment you want. Though some floors on Burton Conner are pretty similar to Baker floors- Baker floors tend to be much bigger. Just make sure to visit ALL of the dorms during REX week. It's a big help in deciding where you'll want to stay. Make sure YOU'RE comfortable wherever you end up- who you live with/where you live was very important to me freshman year... as it is with most other people. And remember... even if you don't like the room you're in right now... there's floor rush/entry rush/uhhh whateversimmonsdoes rush... and you could end up moving rooms! REX week is exciting.
