So last weekend I had my first racing experience with two oars in my hands and it actually went ok. I bowed a double in both the open and lightweight events; my double partner was a Sophomore at Radcliffe but don't judge, she's nice. That's us in our sweet Vesper unis. We didn't qualify for the finals in either case but I was still happy with the races because I stayed generally in my lane and we didn't come in last in our heats. Also CMD tricked me and told us we would each bow an event but then she changed her mind and I ended up bowing twice. Next week we're all driving over to Tennessee for Club Nationals where I'm racing in the quad and will not be sitting in bow! I'm excited about the quad, it's really fun to row.
So my time in Philly is winding down. Subtracting the week I'll be in TN I've got about a week left in the city. I've still got a couple of things that I want to do before I head home like check out the zoo and of course road trip down to DC. I know that I am considerably biased but I think that I have officially decided that Boston totally pwns Philly as a city and I'm looking forward to getting back home. Philly is nice and all but it's no Boston.
